Renewable Fuels Nebraska Celebrates Historic Progress, Leadership Transition at Q4 Meeting
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA — Today, Renewable Fuels Nebraska held its fourth quarterly meeting of 2025, where members from across the state celebrated outgoing president Tony Leiding and incoming president Jacki Fee, as well as marked the launch of carbon capture operations along the Trailblazer Pipeline.
Outgoing president Tony Leiding of Trenton Agri Products led the final meeting of his term, sharing his thoughts on the last five years and his excitement for the tenure of his incoming predecessor, Jacki Fee, who is a longtime professional at Cargill with more than 30 years of experience in the ethanol industry.
In addition, the meeting featured updates surrounding policy developments in California that promise to impact Nebraska’s ethanol industry, recent legislative movement at the federal level, and industry-wide trends and forecasts.
It also included a keynote address by Kyle Quackenbush, an executive at Tallgrass Energy. This week, Tallgrass announced the commencement of a historic partnership with ADM in Columbus, Nebraska. Tallgrass’s Trailblazer pipeline will transport carbon dioxide from ADM’s ethanol plant, lowering the carbon score of its products and opening up new markets for its sale while removing the CO₂ for safe, long-term storage.
Renewable Fuels Nebraska Executive Director Dawn Caldwell issued the following statement at the conclusion of the meeting:
“Today’s meeting was an incredible reminder: The renewable fuels industry in Nebraska is stronger than ever.
“Thanks to our hardworking and engaged members, we continue to find new ways for Nebraska to help power our country and the world with clean, homegrown energy. And thanks to developments like the start of carbon capture and storage along the Trailblazer pipeline, through partnership between numerous ethanol companies and Tallgrass, we have momentum to make 2026 an even bigger success.
“Of course, achieving those new heights will require continued leadership, which is why I’m so grateful for Tony Leiding and his dedication as RFN president over the last five years, as well as thrilled to keep working alongside Jacki Fee as our incoming president.
“It’s an honor to be a part of this organization, and I look forward to building on our progress in the coming months.”
